Derek Deneke

Derek Deneke is a licensed optician by the American Board of Opticianry and the state of Ohio with over 20 years of experience. Derek started his optical career in Dixon, Illinois in 1997. He moved to the Akron area in 2000 and has been a part of the local optical community ever since.

Derek enjoys seeing patients get excited about their glasses and working with people of all ages to find the perfect pair. What he loves most about his career is making everyday life better by helping people see, look, and feel their best. He is known for his warm smile, personalized care and attention, above and beyond helpfulness, and cool sense of style (including his socks).

In his spare time, Derek can be found on the golf course or spending time outdoors. He and his wife Deanne love to travel and explore new places. Although he has been a part of Northeast Ohio for decades, he remains an avid Cubs fan. He does root for the Guardians, too, as long as they aren’t playing the Cubs.
